The JOKER URSUS is a capable and stylish bushcraft and survival knife - a great all rounder that can take on anything from light duties to serious cutting, chopping and digging. The URSUS encompasses a robust full tang blade crafted from BOHLER N695 (58-60 HRC) 5mm thick steel.
Bushcraft and Survival knives must be able to handle each one of the several tasks that might arise in an emergency situation (water, shelter, warmth and food) where surviving the experience is paramount. Such tasks include whittling, notching, lapping and shaping tasks which prove simple with this well balanced and weighted, hefty 4mm thick, razor-sharp, flat ground blade. The flat grind allows for easy sharpening in the field as well as providing a finer cutting edge for meat preparation. The Lynx’s semi drop point blade combined with a deeper belly means that it can be used for skinning and exhibits the sturdiness required for jointing a carcass and harvesting meat. Jimping on the blade spine aids control and dexterity for finer tasks.
The canvas micarta handle scales gives this knife a grippy feel and its practical profile including a downward sweep ensures a comfortable grip. The handle is large enough to accommodate medium to large hands with ease, allowing the blade to be easily controlled. Full tang and exposed pommel lanyard hole.
The Lynx is presented with well finished and robust, top grain hide sheath 3mm thick which is double sewn and reinforced with hollow rivets, allowing the sheath to be fastened to a belt or webbing straps and allowing for a range of flexible carry options. The belt loop will accept a 55mm wide belt. Made in Spain.
