The semi-full tang provides the extra strength needed with bushcraft knives. This knife has the tang exposed on the top and pommel end of the handle but is covered by the wood of the handle on the finger side. This protects the fingers from direct contact with the steel in cold weather. The blade is made of triple laminated carbon steel that provides excellent edge holding toughness and ease for sharpening. The handle has a finger guard to help keep your hand off the edge when slippery. The handle shape on the updated version of the Temagami CA allows a better control of the knife when holding in different positions.

Brothers Steinar and Sigmund Helle started knife production in the old forge located on their farm in Holmeland, Norway, in 1932. Then, as today, much of the production is done manually. Many Helle knives have a unique triple laminated stainless steel blade. The core is made of high carbon steel which gives it a lasting, razor-sharp edge. The outer two layers are of stainless steel(18/8) to protect the blade against breakage and corrosion, while the high carbon core provides a superb cutting edge.
