Australia's Knife Specialists | Knowledgeable Advice, No Hassle Customer Service & the Best After Sales Support
The double-sided cow leather sharpening strop is bound to make your sharpening process easier for your knives and cutting tools.
Suitable from beginner to advanced, the strop will be able to bring back the edge to razor sharp. A strop is a fantastic tool to rejuvenate a dull edge with little work needed.
Each side of the strop has Australian high quality cow leather that has been meticulously chosen by our team in Sydney to only offer the best performance.
The Suede side is designed to receive the more abrasive stropping paste like the Medium and Coarse Sydney Strop Co. pastes, and the Smooth side is for the final polish which can be used with the Sydney Strop Co. fine grit paste or used bare with no paste.
Characteristics of cow leather:
The Cow leather has more flexibility than most leathers, the hide is generally thicker thus creating a more spongy surface to work on.
Cow leather is less prone to cracking and is a more robust leather. Generally Cow leather can help aid in creating a convex edge on the blade adding strength to the bevel due to its spongy characteristic.
Total length – 40.5 cm (15.94 inches)
Length of the leather working part – 26 cm (10.23 inches)
Working width of the leather – 7.3 cm (2.80 inches)
Base material – Australian Blackbutt
Leather material - Australian premium Cow hide
Leather Colour - Black
The double-sided paddle strop is a fantastic gift for any occasion.
