The coating used to give these scales their amazing finish is the undisputed leader in ceramic coating: Cerakote.
Cerakote is the most widely used coating for fire arms and has been used since 1984.
Cerakote is 100% chemical resistant and protect your scales from salt and wear. Cerakote does not chipp or wear off when you are using your knife.
No mods are needed and the coating is only 20 microns thick so it will fit perfect.
