Our decades of experience in the field of outdoor knives as well as the wealth of ideas and creativity of Danish knifemaker Jesper Voxnæs have gone into the concept and design of Saga to set new standards in ergonomics and cutting technology. The gently curved handle is made of selected sycamore lacewood, which is known for its special grain. The satin finish serrated blade is made of 440C, which far surpasses conventional kitchen knife steels in terms of cutting durability and corrosion resistance. The large hollow studs, which bear the unmistakable signature of Jesper Voxnæs, provide a special accent. In addition to bread, other hard foods can also be cut particularly well with these knives. In contrast to the classic kitchen knife, these foods are not crushed when cut with the bread knife. Handmade in the Boker Manufactory in Solingen.

The history of Boker can be traced back to the 17th century. In the 1800’s the German tool maker was producing swords and other blades for use in the various wars that were going on in Europe at the time. In the1860’s the company had split with part of the family emigrating and setting up factories in America. The German and American factories produced similar products. Both used the “Tree Brand” logo. The “Tree Brand” logo represents the giant chestnut tree that was at the front of the original Boker factory in Remscheid, Germany in the 17th century.
