Created in cooperation with the young knifemaker Alex Kremer and Daily Customs, the Boker Daily Knives AK1 is a versatile small everyday knife which is not only completely convincing as an EDC but already enjoys cult status.
The great success of the models with RWL-34 blade steel prompted Boker to design a high end version. While the manufacturer, Fat Carbon had already surprised us time and again with composite patterns that we could not have imagined before, the new material Fat Carbon Space-Coral Silver sets a completely new accent. The cross section of the pattern is rotated by 90° and the even spacing of the fine lines are arranged in ingeniously ordered chaos.
This material highlight was considered just right to use it for handle scales for this blade and tang made of stainless Damascus by Chad Nichols in the Boomerang pattern. This creates a charming visual interplay between the materials, which also both have the best mechanical properties in their respective functions.
The handle scales can be removed effortlessly with the included Torx key, so that the elaborately crafted lanyard hole at the end of the handle can be turned around when the handle scales are removed and optionally disappear into the handle. Supplied with a high quality black leather sheath, which has a sewn-in Ulticlip and can be conveniently attached to the hem of the pocket thanks to the locking spring clip. This allows the Boker AK1 Damascus to be drawn effortlessly while the sheath is reliably held in place by the Ulticlip. Handmade in the Boker Knife Manufactory in Solingen.

The history of Boker can be traced back to the 17th century. In the 1800’s the German tool maker was producing swords and other blades for use in the various wars that were going on in Europe at the time. In the1860’s the company had split with part of the family emigrating and setting up factories in America. The German and American factories produced similar products. Both used the “Tree Brand” logo. The “Tree Brand” logo represents the giant chestnut tree that was at the front of the original Boker factory in Remscheid, Germany in the 17th century.
