An extremely attractive EDC fixed blade knife with a well thought out concept and selected materials - enough reasons to make the hearts of many knife lovers beat faster. And the best thing is, your wallet doesn't have to worry at all. With the AK1 Amercian Tanto, which was developed in cooperation with the young knifemaker Alex Kremer and Daily Customs, Boker is making headway into an attractive price segment for handmade, fixed blade knives made in Germany. The versatile, compact everyday knife with full tang can be perfectly adapted to one's own needs. Born in 1993 in Fulda, Germany, Alex Kremer began making his first knives as an 18 year old schoolboy. To this day, his numerous tours through the seemingly endless expanses of Scandinavia in particular, serve as a source of inspiration. The AK1 designed by him is equipped with an American Tanto blade made of N690, which is ideal for precise cuts, for example for opening packages. The ergonomically shaped and ergonomically shaped handle scales are made of lightweight G10. They can be dismantled effortlessly with the enclosed Torx key and can be replaced with a variety of alternative scales developed and distributed by Daily Customs. Supplied with a custom fit Kydex sheath with a clip. Handmade in the Boker Manufactory in Solingen.

The history of Boker can be traced back to the 17th Century. By the 1800s the German tool maker was producing swords and other blades for use in various European wars. In the 1860s the company had split, with part of the family emigrating and setting up factories in America. The German and American factories produced similar products, and both used the “Tree Brand” logo, representing the giant chestnut tree that was at the front of the original Boker factory in Remscheid, Germany in the 17th Century.
