This polishing compound is used for polishing and maintaining the cutting edges of knives, tools and razors. The compound is best used by rubbing onto the surface of a leather strop. The knife or tool is then drawn along the strop in a stroking action, which will remove small burs and nicks from the blade edge. Used lightly and regularly, stropping prolongs the time required between sharpening.
